QUIET & SURPRISE

i had a poem
in the shower
about
'silence and devotion'
but not those

some other pair

a combination not quite
fur-lined but

adequate
for a jump start

so i lost it
drying my hair

         now what
do i
need a slate
in the tub or just
more (better) ideas

    not devotion certainly
    silence and a word
    implying action
    in a passive way

    and

maybe not silence
exactly

quiet
and surprise
