The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for November 2006

keeping in mind
as he drives

slipping round
behind the barroom
on the gravel road
to nowhere

turning out at
the end of the fence
the
other way

we’re
acting the parts
the madman
gave us

so the play could
begin

[grip the wheel
let the play begin]

again

[laughter
exits]
