The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for November 2013

the roses
shuffle and
scrape along
the window
pane
moaning
in
the autumn
bluster

their
flowers
defying
the coming
season

     [the]
orange sunsets
and blood
red leaves

brave shoots
top the
hedges
soon to be
pruned
away

as will be
the last
rose

the
plant tied
down for
winter

and the window
rests gathering
pale sun

and waits
for what's
to come
