The FAB&PP Poem of the Month for September 2017

summer movies
summer tan
the first fried clam

     [too hot to
     write
     poetry]

at the beach

the breeze the
sand the
'barely' seventeen

     [too old
     to write poetry]

and at
home
as the air
conditioner
blast overpowers
the hum of the fans

     [too tired
     to do anything
     but slowly
     slip into dreams
     about summer
     and youth
     and

     poetry]
